IT support for contractors and trades that works in the truck and in the office

Your crews quote, photograph and sign off jobs on phones and tablets. Your office runs estimating, scheduling and accounting on a couple of shared computers. When a phone is lost or the office PC dies, work stops.

We keep your field devices, office computers, email and passwords organized and protected, at a flat monthly price that makes sense for a trades business.

Flat per-user pricing · On-site in Sackville, Bedford, Halifax & Dartmouth · No long-term contracts after onboarding
What We See Most

The three biggest IT problems for trades and construction companies

Problem 1

Phones and tablets in the field

Company phones and tablets get dropped, lost, left in trucks and handed from one worker to the next. Nobody knows which devices have company email, customer photos or banking apps on them, or how to wipe one that goes missing.

Problem 2

Shared office computers running critical software

One or two office computers run estimating, job costing and accounting software. They are shared, rarely updated and often not backed up. If one fails at month-end or during a busy bid, invoicing and quotes grind to a halt.

Problem 3

Email costs and password chaos

Every new hire gets another paid mailbox, supplier and portal passwords are texted around or written on the whiteboard, and when someone leaves, nobody is quite sure which accounts they still have access to.

Our Approach

How we solve them

Simple, low-maintenance setups that fit how crews and small offices actually work.

1
Managed field devices

Company phones and tablets set up consistently, with screen locks, updates and the apps your crews need. Managed phones and tablets (locate, lock and wipe) are available on IT Complete and IT Secure, or quoted per device. Handing a tablet to a new worker takes minutes, not an afternoon.

2
Office computers you can count on

Monitoring, automatic updates and endpoint protection on office machines, backups of estimating and accounting data, and help keeping that software updated and licensed. When a machine is due for replacement, we plan it before it fails.

3
Affordable email and safe password sharing

Reliable business email on your own domain for less, and a team password manager so crews and office staff share supplier and portal logins safely. When someone leaves, their access is removed the same day.

Plan Recommendation

Which IT plan fits a trades business? IT Essentials.

Most contractors and trades companies are well served by IT Essentials: remote help desk, device monitoring and updates, protection and account management. Pair it with a Starter Escape if you want to cut email and file-storage costs.

  • ✓IT Essentials ($89/user/month) — recommended: Remote help desk, monitoring and automatic updates for computers, managed endpoint protection, email account admin, new-hire setup and departing-staff lockout, a password manager for your team and a monthly health report.
  • ✓Starter Escape ($1,500 fixed, 1–5 users) — for email and files: A one-time project that moves your email to Fastmail and your files to Nextcloud, sets up a team password manager and backups, and includes a 1-hour training session and a 30-day fix-it period.
  • ✓IT Complete ($139/user/month): Worth considering once your office grows and you want on-site visits, network and Wi-Fi management and daily cloud backups included.

5-user minimum per plan (IT Essentials $445, IT Complete $695, IT Secure $945 per month for smaller teams). Only office staff and anyone who needs a managed device or account count as users. Prices in CAD plus HST.

Where Big Tech alternatives help

Your estimating, scheduling and accounting software stays put. Alternatives mostly help with email, files and passwords.

Instead of Consider Why it helps here

Dropbox or Google Drive for job files and photos Nextcloud Job folders, site photos and drawings synced to phones, tablets and the office, with share links for clients and subcontractors.
Passwords texted around or on the whiteboard Vaultwarden password manager Supplier portals, permit sites and shared accounts in one place, shared only with the people who need them.
Manual job-to-invoice copy and paste n8n workflow automation Connect web forms, scheduling and accounting so new leads and completed jobs flow through without retyping.

You don't have to switch everything at once, or at all. We only recommend a change when the numbers and the day-to-day experience both work for you. See all Big Tech alternatives →

Clear Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from contractors and trades business owners.

Do all my field workers count as users? +

Only people who need a managed computer, phone, tablet or company account count. Many trades businesses cover the office team and crew leads, and leave everyone else off the plan.

Can you support our estimating and accounting software? +

Yes. We keep the computers it runs on healthy and backed up, help with updates and licensing, and work with the software vendor's support team when a problem is inside their product.

What happens if a crew member loses a company phone? +

Call or email us and we reset any passwords stored on the device. Managed phones and tablets (locate, lock and wipe) are available on IT Complete and IT Secure, or quoted per device.

Will switching email mess up our phones or quotes? +

No. We move existing mail, contacts and calendars, set up each phone, and cut over outside working hours. Your email address stays the same, and the Starter Escape includes a 30-day fix-it period.

Do we have to sign a long contract? +

Plans start with a 90-day onboarding period, then continue month-to-month.
