1. Our Commitment
We want everyone to be able to use our website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers, voice control or other assistive technology.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
2. What We Do
- Use clear headings, page landmarks and a "Skip to main content" link.
- Make every link, button and form field usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Label form fields and give clear error and success messages.
- Check colour contrast in both light and dark mode.
- Write in plain language and avoid jargon where we can.
- Add text descriptions (alt text) to meaningful images.
- Let text resize and reflow on small screens without losing content.
3. Known Limitations
We are a small business and we are still improving. Some areas may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA yet:
- Third-party tools: our free online scorecard is provided by ScoreApp, and its accessibility depends on that service.
- Older content: some older articles and images may be missing detailed descriptions.
- PDFs and downloads: documents we send may not always be fully tagged for screen readers. We can provide them in another format on request.
If something gets in your way, please tell us and we will fix it or give you the information another way.

5. Report an Accessibility Issue
If you find a problem on our website, email info@openstackforge.ca with the subject "Accessibility issue". It helps if you include:
- the page address (URL),
- what you were trying to do and what went wrong,
- the browser and any assistive technology you use.
We aim to reply within two business days and to fix confirmed issues as quickly as we can.
